Writing, painting (mostly acrylics, some oils, watercolor and gouache), mixed media sculpture (wood, metal, feathers, fur, pearls, machine parts, deer hooves, the list goes on).

I paint, like I often write, about things that interest me. In my early twenties, I wrote a poem about Giordano Bruno, who was burnt at the stake for insisting that the earth isn’t the center of the universe, that it orbits around the sun. People would tell me “You’re so eclectic!” One of my mixed-media constructions juxtaposes Tolstoy with Tsar Nicholas, one of my book sculptures focuses on animal migration. My writing has covered an even broader range.
